Irish Grazing Bulls
The Irish Holstein has been specifically developed to fully exploit your natural resource on farm, grass. Bred to deliver pregnancies, protein and profit from low input, extensive farm systems, our stud excels for these traits on a global scale.
Cow families demonstrate that they can breed back every year and produce nutrient dense milk with the minimum of fuss. Bull mothers easily produce over a kilo of solids for a kilo of live weight, producing over extended grazing periods and with minimum concentrate fed to them. Our stud is a world leader for longevity and daughter fertility averages, meaning you can select any of them safe in the knowledge that daughters will thrive and perform for you. Then you can select for the remaining traits you are concentrating on in your crossbreeding, whether you wish to drive up component percentage aggressively, add kgs of solids, push for increased longevity and, or, reduce body size. As a group, expect good calving ease scores and hardy daughters that will survive whatever your system is.
